I am back home after a sweet and meaningful week with family in Texas. Thank you for all your sentiments and kind messages.
I had been planning to write about alternatives to giving toys and other landfill-bound, house-cluttering non-essentials for Christmas this year, but another blogger, Little Ocean beat me to it. Because she did such a good job (and because I am still easing back into home life), I am more than happy to pass along her insight rather than create a similar post of my own. I especially love how tastefully she presents the idea to her well-meaning relatives, which we all know is not always easy to do. Enjoy… The NO-TOY Christmas.
And thanks to the amazing Kathie Sever for the passing this along!
Thank you, Beth! I knew there would be a lot of smart parents like yourself who would appreciate our outlook on gifts. Love your blog!

Then i woke up and realized that could never really happen….
