About the Revolution

Revolution from Home was born of several parallel intentions…
- To chronicle my personal journey through this crazy-beautiful life.
- To examine conventional wisdom and evaluate it for truth.
- To remind you of the power you hold from exactly where you are….
“The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.”
William James
“A great revolution in just one single individual will help achieve a change in the destiny of a society and, further, will enable a change in the destiny of humankind.”
Daisaku Ikeda
- To encourage a renewed embrace of home life toward the betterment of modern culture and the assurance of a thriving future.

This is a blog for those of us who believe we are capable of making a difference (and for those of us who want to believe it). It’s about determining which choices, thoughts and habits no longer serve us and finding resolve to let them go. It’s about creative solutions, thinking outside the (big) box and creating community like our lives depend on it (cause guess what?)
You can also expect to find…
- Encouragement to simplify, slow down and live with more intention.
- Greener ways to make a home and people who are doing it.
- Diversity in family dynamics, lifestyles and traditions.
- A look at our lives in Mexico and the ways it has shifted our thinking.
- Empathy and comic relief from the chaos of modern-day parenting.
- Ways to sort the bullshit from the truth in our everyday lives.
- Product reviews, good finds and ways to be conscientious consumers.
- Thoughts on local living and sustainable food systems.
- Ways to improve your existence by simply changing your mind.
