I'm Beth Berry and I'm glad you're here. Revolution from Home is my reaction to four daughters, a love affair with Mexico, a need to sort bullshit from beauty and a passion for life lived well. I like real food, real people and real good ideas and that support their growth and revival. Come on in! When the beds are full, we'll make pallets.
Thanks for this. My students are exploring climate change right now – reading and teaching each other about the causes and impacts. As they instruct one another and lead class discussions, they continue to ask each other what we should do about it? They have lots of ideas, most of which could benefit from the perspective of an empathic adventure! The gears in my head are turning, and I’m wondering how I might facilitate one for them in the coming months. Good food for thought (and hopefully action).
I do feel as though we are so far removed, as a society, from understanding where day to day materials come from and furthermore the work other people do to get us these materials. Also, what happens to all the materials when we toss them away. Empathy is the key. I am going to have my girl scout troop watch that this evening. Thanks.

Bravo, encore, encore…!!! I especially appreciated the explanation of the distinction between affective and cognitive empathy.
