I know I said I was only taking a week off from posting, but I changed my mind — I’m having too much fun to want to write about it all just yet. Following a truly beautiful anniversary, solstice, eighteenth birthday celebration and Christmas, we hopped on a plane to Austin on Saturday for eight fast and furious days in Texas. Our visa renewal (which requires that we cross a border every six months) coincided nicely with a family wedding, justifying the painfully-quick trip “home.”

So, until next week, here’s to an incredible new year filled with realized intentions, profound acceptance, inner peace and plenty of mistakes.

I’ll be contemplating my own resolutions tonight at the Willie Nelson/Iron & Wine show! Okay, I don’t know how much I’ll be contemplating, but considering that one of my intentions includes opening myself to more joy, at least I’ll be off to a good start!

Feliz Año Nuevo and Happy New Year, my friends!!!! I plan on making this a good one. You?

  1. We were at Willie & Friends last night with the Mavericks–it was terrific! Wish I could catch the show again tonight…or see you sometime while you’re here on your quickie trip. But I’m off on a North African adventure bright & early in the morning. Next time! Happy New Year!

  2. Somehow, though it’s unlikely I’ll see you in all your travels, I enjoy knowing that you’re here in Austin. So close! Happy 2013!
