This week, Hunter and I celebrated thirteen years of marriage,

I became the mother of an adult child,

and the whole family was reunited for the holidays.

I’ll be taking a break next week to be here and now with my flesh and blood. I am forever grateful to each and every one of you for your kindness, thoughtful comments and encouragement. Much love and light to you and yours this holiday season, into the coming year, and as (according to the local Maya), we celebrate the dawn of a new era.

Abrazos, Beth

  4. Congratulations! And thank you for your words here. My family is enjoying the twisty twirlies. That whole post inspired me anew to use what I have and gave me the encouragement I needed that it’s never too late to bring the holidays back to simple, handmade loveliness. We threw ourselves into last minute crafting instead of the last minute shopping I was feeling pressured to do even though it feels so empty to “celebrate” in that way. Some of our packages are now wrapped in hand painted paper and some are wearing bows made from strips of old t-shirts leftover from an old project. The joy and excitement is back!

  5. Congratulations on your anniversary! I just wanted to leave you a little comment to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed reading your entire blog over this Christmas vacation. I was sad when I got to page 7 and realized there were no more pages to read! You’ve really inspired me in many ways. I am reading a couple of Wayne Dyer books now too :-) Thanks for sharing your mind and helping me to see through some things that had gotten so clouded up within me. I look forward to reading (and pinning!) more of your posts.
